Aziz Sarıyer, Designer
Aziz Sarıyer’s professional design career started in 1971 with establishment of Derin Design. His interest in design in childhood, persistence and hard work provided Aziz Sarıyer with worldwide reputation and respect.
Year 2000 collection compiled by himself and his son that elevated Derin Brand to the level of selective brands of the world. He has remarkable contribution in Tukish Design’s progress to meet contemporary norms.
At the international level, selective brands such as Cappellini, Moroso, Zeritalia, Sica, Altreforme, B-Line, Danca had his signature in their collection. Domestic brands such as Derin, Alparda, Hamam, Park, Step, Vitra, 888 Design and Mana Design Gallery have his designs in their collections.
In 2004, Aziz Sarıyer was announced to be one of the top 100 designers of 21st Century by Terence Conran Publishing Company. His achievement has been the annunciation of Turkish Design to the global arena.
Sarıyer Design, he set up in recent years, served a large number of both national and international companies with his contemporary designs. The artist teaches courses in reputable universities, participates in exhibitions, installations and performances as well as serving in jury of national and international design competitions. Aziz Sarıyer has been invited to design seminars to share his experience with new designers at an international level.

Request for a design to bring Silent Room idea to life excited me. It was a innovative idea.
We did a lot of pre work before starting the design process.
I was asked to design a large number of components wich were hard to bring together in a single form. It was a task difficult for a designer to tackle form and function together.
Sound isolation, electrical components such as air conditioner, sterilizer, LCD screen, and display window were to be mounted on a portable frame which would be 80% transparent. Briefly speaking, it was very challenging.
Bringing a difficult, functional project into life is the utmost satisfaction for a designer. I believe we achieved that with Silent Room^®.
